I was one of the judges at the Maine Vocals Big Bud & Taste contest and I have to say, the grass IS greener in Maine!

This year we had some great marijuana entered into the contest and it was a hard one to judge. A strain of Northern Lights took all the judges by surprise in the Best Smelling Bud Category. STICKY SWEET!!! This strain however did not hold up for the taste test. The BIG BUD and BEST TASTE award went to the Z man. (you know who you are!) His strain of SOUR DEISEL blew everybody away. The bud was about two ounces in weight and laid across both my hands. The taste was fantastic and it went right to your head.

The Harvest celebration At Harry Brown's Farm ROCKED this year. I arrived to find the cars lining up down the block waiting to get in. Maine Vocals Security immediately entered my vehicle and directed me through the madness to a spot next to the stage. I donned my stage gear and headed up to find the opening of the show had a slight problem...

With THE RHYTHM SHIP ready to open the show, yet lacking their equipment, (stuck in traffic 45 minutes away,) we needed to pull a quick band switch. THE BREW came to the rescue. I did the opening remarks and kept the politics in the air as THE BREW set up in record time and opened the show with a ROCKING SET!
